CFA: Please ask Governor Scott to support a Reduction in the Business Rent Tax

Florida Realtors have been strong supporters of the reduction and eventual elimination of the sales tax on commercial leases; this tax affects businesses, small and large.  Your association has been working with a coalition of representatives from the business community to show our broad support for this rate cut. Our coalition is calling this tax the Business Rent Tax.

Governor Scott is putting together his recommended budget during the months of October and November. This budget will be released on or near December 1, 2015. We are asking all Florida Realtors© members to please contact Governor Scott and ask him to SUPPORT the reduction of the Business Rent Tax by including a rate reduction of 1% in his budget.

Again, please contact Governor Scott and ask him to SUPPORT THE REDUCTION OF THE BUSINESS RENT TAX ON LEASES IN ACROSS THE STATE.
